Payment terms
Payment is due by the 20th of the month following the invoice date, unless otherwise specified. Late payments may incur interest at 10% per month plus a $50 administration fee on the outstanding balance. Debt recovery costs will be charged to your account. We reserve the right to suspend work until overdue accounts are settled.
Pricing
All prices are based on the agreed scope of work at the time of discussion or quotation. Additional work, variations, or unforeseen site conditions may result in extra charges and will be invoiced accordingly.
Fuel Adjustment Factor (FAF)
Due to fluctuations in fuel prices, a Fuel Adjustment Factor may be applied to machinery and transport charges. The FAF is calculated based on current diesel prices and may vary from time to time. Where applicable, it will appear as a separate line item on the invoice.
Minimum charges
A minimum charge of 5 hours may apply for machinery and operator hire. Mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment may also be charged where applicable.
Materials
All materials supplied remain the property of Matt Lewis Contracting Limited until paid for in full.
Wet weather & site delays
Work may be delayed due to weather conditions, unsafe site access, or unsuitable ground conditions. Standby time or additional visits caused by such delays may incur additional charges.
Site access & safety
The client is responsible for ensuring safe and adequate access to the site for machinery and trucks. We will not be liable for delays or additional costs resulting from restricted or unsafe site conditions.
Underground services
The client must identify and mark the location of all underground utilities, pipes, cables, and services prior to work commencing. We will not be liable for damage to unmarked or incorrectly marked services.
Damage to property
Reasonable care will be taken during all operations. However, we are not responsible for damage to driveways, underground services, landscaping, or structures unless caused by proven negligence.
Disposal of materials
Removal and disposal of spoil, debris, or contaminated material will incur additional charges unless otherwise specified in the quotation.
Equipment breakdown
While every effort is made to maintain machinery reliability, we will not be liable for delays caused by equipment breakdowns. Replacement equipment will be arranged where possible.
Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the services provided. We shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from the work performed.
